WFW advises Sanza Energy, the first online platform in Spain for the commercialization of PPAs

Watson Farley & Williams (“WFW”) advised Sanza Energy (, the first online platform in Spain for the commercialization of power purchase agreements (PPAs), on legal and regulatory issues applicable to PPAs and the renewable energy sector in Spain. Spain, as well as the drafting of the PPA model to be used as a model by Sanza Energy and its users.

Until now, PPAs have been negotiated and executed individually between different energy producers and buyers, without common standards between them. WFW, for example, has advised medium and large producers, utilities, corporate buyers, and more. on such negotiations. It is through this extensive experience and knowledge of the Spanish PPA market that WFW played a key role in advising Sanza Energy in the preparation of a model PPA form comprising standard market provisions with a balanced approach and bankable, which will be essential for the development, construction and financing of renewable projects.

Sanza Energy is a revolutionary new entrant in the Spanish energy sector, with its newly created platform facilitating and democratizing access to PPAs and renewable energy sources to promote a green market. Their platform provides both price stability and leverages the PPA market for all participants, since PPA proposals can be uploaded there and buyers and generators will operate to the standards and performance guarantees established by respected advisors, including WFW.
